By profession I'm a chess teacher, something I've been doing pretty successfully since 1972. But it gradually became clear that, for me, chess is just a means to an end. My interest is in the whole process of teaching. I currently teach Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, and, more generally, cognitive skills (and anything else my colleagues or I choose to include in the lessons) at Hampton Court House. I can teach either individuals or small groups, and prefer to work mostly with children of Junior School age (7-11), although, as far as chess is concerned, I can teach any age.
