This course is suitable for groups of between 4 and 12 children aged between 7 and 10 and requires a 1-hour session every week. It can be run in schools, either as an after-school activity, as part of the curriculum, or as curriculum enhancement for Gifted and Talented children. I can also run small groups (4 to 6 children) at my home.

PRIVATE CHESS TUITION

I offer private individual tuition for children who are interested in joining a chess club such as Richmond Junior Chess Club and playing in serious adult level tournaments such as the Richmond Rapidplays.

I also offer private tuition for beginners. Most children will benefit more from learning within a small group, so invite some friends to join in with you! Individual tuition for young beginners is most suitable for solitary learners who feel more comfortable working one-to-one with a teacher rather than with other children.

If your school is serious about chess you might consider offering one-to-one tuition for your more talented children within school hours, in the same way that children have music tuition.

If you are interested in any of these ideas, or have your own suggestions please contact me for details of current availability and fees.
